Check this box if you will not be enrolling in one or more semesters. Financial aid funds will be released on a rolling basis about a week before the first day of class each semester. Your UT EID is your main identifier for all UT services and should not change. Your ID card number, however, will change if your ID card is lost or stolen. All students awarded state financial aid must complete a Selective Service document in My Financial Aid. These funds can be used towards other expenses such as housing, books transportation and other educational costs. If the total amount offered to you is less than the cost of your tuition and fees, you will see a message stating you are under-funded. This is an estimated amount that you may need to pay towards your educational costs out-of-pocket. There might be a $25 charge for copies, regardless of whether you submit your request in person, by fax, or by mail. You’ll receive advance notification before your request is processed.

While the 21st Century Cures Act is designed to provide more immediate access to your records, it also puts part of the responsibility on you to maintain the privacy and security of your information. Your tuition bill will show a balance due until your financial aid funds are released after the tuition deadline. On My Tuition Bill, click View Bill, then if your financial aid fully covers your tuition, click Pay with Financial Aid.

If a previously submitted document needs to be edited or resubmitted, click the Update Document button and follow the steps to re-upload. On the Documents page, any Documents requiring attention will be listed, and a Submit Document button will appear next to each. All requested documents will be listed under Documents Requiring Attention. Nueces Future Residents

Residents needing to remain on-campus during this period can request a winter break housing contract (located in San Jacinto Hall) for an additional fee. You can submit your housing preferences once you have submitted your housing contract and satisfied the $300 housing advance payment. You are able to submit preferences for your residence hall, room type, bathroom type and roommate(s). You can also apply for Living Learning Communities (LLCs). 12-month contract payments are split into 12 equal monthly installments from August to July. 9-month contract payments are split into 9 equal monthly installments from August to April.

Spring 2009

First-time freshmen are eligible to live at 2400 Nueces for their second year and can apply after the 12th class day of their first term. Residents will fully vacate their room at the end of the summer. Direct costs include tuition and fees and on-campus housing, while indirect costs include off-campus housing, books and supplies, transportation, and other educational costs.

If financial aid does not fully cover your bill, you will need to pay the balance due by the deadline. If excess financial aid funds are sent to an account that has been closed or is no longer valid, contact Payment Information. No paper bills will be mailed, so be sure to keep your email addresses on file with the University current as required by the University Electronic Mail Student Notification Policy. It is important to note that parents should not use their student’s UT EID. If parents do not already have a UT EID, they can create one to access online services for guests. In addition to its use for current students and employees, UT EID is valuable for former students as well. They can use their UT EID to access online services such as ordering transcripts, applying for readmission, and enrolling in continuing and professional education.

We ask that former students keep their address updated to receive their refund. Checks should be made out to The University of Texas at Austin, include the student’s name and EID on the check, and be addressed to University Housing and Dining, 200 W. Pay by term – At no extra charge, this payment may be split into two installments that respectively cover the fall and spring terms’ housing costs. If choosing this two-installment option, payment is due by 5 p.m.
